HEART INFUSION AGAR
  • Recommended for the development of fastidious microorganisms and as base for blood agar.
 
 
  • Packaging
Suspend 40 grams of the medium in one liter of distilled water. Mix well. Heat with frequent agitation and boil until completely dissolved. Dispense and sterilize at 121°C for 15 minutes. Optionally to prepare blood agar, allow to cool to 45–50 ºC and aseptically add 5% of defibrinated sterile blood. Mix well and distribute into Petri dishes.
